Gabriel D. Roy, Ph.D., manages the Advanced Propulsion Program for the U.S. Navy at the Office of Naval Research. He also managed the Pulse Power Program for the U.S. Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, and R&D programs in industry, and was a Professor in Mechanical Engineering. He is a recognized world leader in magnetohydrodynamics, propulsion, fuels,and jet noise control. He has edited over twenty books, authored a number of articles, and has received patents and awards in the combustion discipline. Dr. Roy is a Fellow of AIAA, and served as an associate editor of AIAA Journal of Propulsion and Power. He has received: AIAA Energy Systems Award, ASME Jean F. Lewis Energy Systems Award, and JANNAF Award for Combustion.
